Zachary Sheldon
Zachary researches workplace communication and labor coordination. He earned his PhD from the University of Chicago, then spent three years as a professor at the University of Pittsburgh, with publications in Cultural Anthropology and the Journal of Linguistic Anthropology. He’s also advised four humanitarian organizations on improving employment opportunities for refugees. The through line in his work is helping ordinary people navigate complicated systems, whether that system is an AI or an aid program.
